POSITION SUMMARY
In-Person | Mechanicsburg, PA | Flexible Part-Time/PRN | Multiple Settings
The Itinerant SLP role is designed for clinicians who value flexibility, variety, and autonomy. Rather than committing to a traditional full-time caseload, you can choose assignments based on your availability, interests, and preferred locations.
As an Itinerant SLP, you will provide temporary coverage for therapists taking PTO, parental leave, medical leave, or other extended absences, as well as help meet temporary staffing needs throughout Central Pennsylvania.
Assignments may be available in:
- Schools
- Preschools and daycares
- Early intervention
- Outpatient clinics
- Homes
- Community-based programs
You choose the opportunities that fit your life. Accept the assignments you want and decline those that don't. Work occasionally, pick up additional hours, or create a flexible part-time schedule that works for you.

Qualifications
- MA or MS in Speech Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence
- Pennsylvania SLP license or eligibility for a provisional license
- PA Department of Education School Speech-Language Pathologist K–12 certification preferred for school-based assignments (assistance available)
Requirements
- Must reside near or be willing to travel to assignments throughout Central Pennsylvania
- Willingness to travel between locations within approximately a one-hour radius
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Required vehicle insurance and registration
- Mileage reimbursement provided for qualifying travel
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with required insurance and registration
- Ability to pass required background checks
