Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Loan Officer Assistant to support our loan officers in delivering an exceptional mortgage experience to our clients. This in-office role is integral to the loan origination process, helping manage client communications, document collection, file preparation, and coordination across departments to ensure timely and efficient closings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist loan officers with all aspects of the loan process, from pre-qualification to closing.
- Communicate with clients to gather required documents and provide updates throughout the mortgage process.
- Review and organize borrower documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Submit complete loan files to processing and underwriting departments.
- Schedule and coordinate appraisals, inspections, and closings as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of loan files and ensure all compliance requirements are met.
- Respond to client inquiries professionally, clearly, and promptly.
- Monitor loan pipeline and keep loan officers informed of status changes.
- Collaborate with internal departments (processing, underwriting, compliance) to facilitate timely closings.
- Perform administrative duties such as data entry, file maintenance, and correspondence preparation.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in mortgage lending, loan processing, loan officer assistant REQUIRED.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with loan origination software (e.g., Encompass, Calyx, or similar) is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service mindset and professional demeanor.
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
