What are the responsibilities and job description for the ADAS Calibration/Mechanical Technician position at Clear Drive Solutions?
The ADAS Calibration & Mechanical Technician (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems Technician) is responsible for performing all calibration duties, including but not limited to calibrating and repairing vehicle systems to restore them to pre-accident conditions in accordance with OEM specifications within a designated geographical area. Job Requirements:Calibration and Adjustment:Calibrates and adjusts sensors, cameras, and radars for systems like lane-keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance, and parking assistance.Diagnostics and Troubleshooting:Uses specialized diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues with ADAS components, such as cameras, radars, lidar, and ultrasonic sensors.Software Updates:Installs software updates or patches to ensure systems are functioning correctly and incorporate the latest advancements. Integration and Testing:Ensures proper integration of ADAS components with the vehicle's overall electrical and mechanical systems.Conducts tests to verify system performance after maintenance or repairs.Mechanical Repairs:Performs mechanical repairs related to ADAS functionality and vehicle safety systems.Must be able to complete suspension work, including struts, shocks, control arms, and related components.Must be able to perform brake repairs and replacements, including pads, rotors, and calipers.Ability to diagnose and repair general mechanical issues that may impact vehicle alignment, drivability, or calibration accuracy.
