Responsibilities
- Safely operate a range of heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other construction machinery to perform grading, digging, lifting, and material handling tasks.
- Manage the operation of specialized vehicles such as concrete mixers, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker trucks to transport materials efficiently across the site.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained throughout the project.
- Assist with site preparation activities by clearing debris, leveling surfaces, and setting up construction zones for various phases of the project.
- Collaborate with team members to execute construction plans accurately while adhering to safety protocols and project timelines.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment for everyone on-site.
- Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, inspections, and any repairs or issues encountered during operations.
Qualifications
- Underground utilities experience REQUIRED!
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and related machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Valid driver’s license with experience driving large vehicles like dump trucks is preferred.
- Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with site safety protocols and construction processes.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and quality standards.
