About the Role
Clear Consulting Group is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Part-Time Employee Benefits Account Manager to join our growing team. In this remote role, you will serve as a trusted resource for employer clients — managing their benefit plan administration, guiding them through renewals and open enrollment, and delivering an exceptional client experience. This position is ideal for an experienced benefits professional looking for meaningful, flexible work with a collaborative consulting team.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for an assigned book of employer clients
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through proactive communication
• Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding plan details, eligibility, and coverage questions
• Conduct regular check-ins and account reviews to ensure client satisfaction and retention
Benefits Plan Administration
• Manage ongoing administration of group health, dental, vision, life, and ancillary benefit plans
• Coordinate with carriers and vendors to resolve billing discrepancies, claims issues, and eligibility changes
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in agency management systems
• Ensure client compliance with applicable federal and state benefits regulations (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA)
Renewals & Open Enrollment
• Manage the full renewal cycle — gather census data, analyze renewal options, and present recommendations
• Prepare and deliver clear, professional renewal presentations and benchmarking reports
• Lead and support client open enrollment meetings, employee communication materials, and enrollment logistics
• Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely execution of plan changes and new enrollments
Qualifications
• 3 years of experience in employee benefits account management, or brokerage
• Strong working knowledge of group health insurance products and benefit plan design
• Familiarity with ACA, COBRA, ERISA, and other applicable benefits regulations
• Active Life & Health insurance license required
• Proficiency with benefits administration platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines independently
