Overview
The Purchasing Agent is responsible for managing the procurement of materials, equipment, supplies and services essential business operations. This would also include receiving orders, processing purchase orders, maintaining appropriate inventory control for all departments. This role balances cost control, vendor relationships, inventory needs and compliance with company policies. This role will also assist the accounting team with month end processes to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
Responsibilities:
1. Manages the purchase order process for Clear Choice ER supplies and equipment.
2. Request and analyze quotes, bids and proposals to determine best value options.
3. Maintains strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify new vendor opportunities.
4. Negotiate pricing, contracts, terms and delivery schedules.
5. Manages inventory to optimize the cost of supplies and equipment.
6. Assist the Controller in maintaining the fixed assets schedule and inventory.
7. Performs physical inventory as required by CCER policy.
8. Forwards all invoices to accounts payable for timely processing.
9. Prepare reports on spending, vendor performance and budget adherence.
10. Assist the Controller in accounting duties, specifically in month end processes.
11. Organizes, plans and manages time effectively to complete assignments.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is strongly recommended
2. 3 years of supply and purchasing management experience is preferred
3. Strong negotiation and communication skills
4. Problem solving skills for vendor and supply chain issues.
5. Ability to work independently without supervision.
Pay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
