Working alongside senior engineers, you’ll translate ideas into manufacturable designs that meet technical, cost, and schedule goals while maintaining uncompromising attention to detail.This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who loves the energy of solving complex problems quickly and effectively — and wants to see their designs move from concept to prototype to production at mission speed.In Your First Year You Will (What Success Looks Like)·       Complete Clear Align’s mechanical design onboarding and demonstrate proficiency in SolidWorks and GD&T within 90 days.·       Support the design and documentation of opto-mechanical assemblies that meet system-level alignment, stability, and environmental performance targets.·       Deliver assigned design tasks and drawing releases 100% on schedule, with all documentation meeting ASME Y14.5 and Clear Align standards.·       Partner with senior engineers to validate manufacturability and integrate feedback from prototype builds.·       Participate in design reviews, contributing creative ideas that improve performance, yield, and assembly efficiency.·       Support smooth transitions from prototype to production through collaboration with manufacturing engineering.How You Know You Are Winning

Qualifications·       Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.·       1–3 years of experience in mechanical design, ideally in aerospace, defense, or electro-optical systems.·       Proficiency in SolidWorks and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.·       Understanding of materials, tolerancing, and design for manufacturability (DFM/DFA).·       Strong organizational and communication skills.·       U.S. Person status required; eligibility for security clearance preferred.Preferred Extras·       Experience with FEA tools, tolerance analysis, or environmental testing (vibration, thermal).·       Exposure to optical-mechanical design or precision mechanism assemblies.·       Familiarity with ERP or PLM systems for BOM and configuration control.·       Hands-on experience with prototype builds or low-rate initial production (LRIP)Why Clear Align
