Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including floor scrubbing, waxing, buffing, polishing, and refinishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance.
• Handle various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, polishers, and vacuum cleaners with precision and safety.
• Use appropriate chemical agents for different flooring types while adhering to safety protocols related to chemical handling and environmental standards.
• Conduct carpet cleaning and stain removal to ensure all surfaces are hygienic and visually appealing.
• Execute heavy lifting tasks safely when moving furniture or equipment to facilitate thorough cleaning or maintenance work.
• Apply floor care techniques such as stripping, sealing, and applying protective coatings to extend the lifespan of flooring materials.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance for quality assurance and compliance purposes.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or institutional settings is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to operate cleaning machinery including floor buffers, polishers, extractors, and carpet cleaners.
• Knowledge of floor cleaning chemicals, safety procedures for chemical handling, and environmentally friendly cleaning practices.
• Experience with floor refinishing techniques such as waxing, buffing, sealing, and polishing.
• Strong manual handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and facility staff.
• Familiarity with environmental services standards related to health, safety, and sustainability.
