We are seeking a reliable and motivated Courier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of packages and documents while ensuring excellent customer service. Duties
- Load and unload packages from delivery vehicles, ensuring safe handling of items.
- Operate a van or delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations efficiently.
- Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients.
- Utilize warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts as needed for loading and unloading tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain safety.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and customer signatures.
- Assist with inventory management in the warehouse when not on delivery routes.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safe driving practices.
- Experience in a warehouse environment is a plus, particularly with loading and unloading procedures.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor when interacting with clients.
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Must be physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting tasks as part of daily responsibilities.
- A proactive attitude toward problem-solving and time management is essential for success in this role.
