Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, common areas, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle various chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, and waste disposal materials following safe lifting practices.
• Maintain the cleanliness of floors through buffing, polishing, and proper floor care techniques to ensure a polished appearance.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning materials to ensure continuous availability.
• Follow established safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks when needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues promptly.

Requirements

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the proper use of cleaning equipment including floor buffers and other custodial tools.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following chemical handling safety procedures.
• Physical capability for manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Customer service orientation with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
