About the Role:
As a Physical Therapist, you will support the health and functional recovery of workers in the Ocean View, NJ area. The treatment provided will focus on surviving cancer patients and lower body rehabilitation. You will also assist in their travel including driving as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with a degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
- Valid state licensure to practice physical therapy.
- Demonstrated experience in orthopedic rehabilitation and manual therapy.
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy and injury mechanisms common in physically demanding environments.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Valid Driver's License.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough physical assessments and evaluations to identify impairments and functional limitations.
- Develop and implement customized treatment plans focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation, manual therapy, and injury prevention.
- Provide education and guidance on injury management, ergonomics, and safe movement techniques.
- Assist in providing mobility for patients including driving to locations, as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including occupational health professionals, safety managers, and physicians to coordinate care.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and maintain detailed documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Additional responsibilities as needed.
Skills:
The required skills in physical therapy, orthopedic rehabilitation, and manual therapy are applied daily to evaluate and treat patients with injuries or physical limitations. Geriatric rehabilitation skills enable you to address the unique needs of older workers, ensuring their safety and productivity. Additionally, your knowledge of orthopedics and rehabilitation principles supports the development of evidence-based treatment plans.
