Job Overview
The Detail Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the dealership detailing operations. The first and foremost responsibility of this position is to maintain our client relationship and ensure that we are exceeding their expectations. This position is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are cleaned, polished, and presented to the highest standards. The Detail Manager is also responsible for understanding, documenting and improving key KPI's such as TTL (time to lot), Revenue, and Profitability. A strong focus on customer satisfaction, quality, and attention to detail is essential for success in this role.
Duties
- Track and work to improve relevant KPI's.
- Supervise and coordinate daily detailing operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to company standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving any issues related to detailing services.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock levels.
- Conduct daily meetings with dealership leadership to update progress and identify needs
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure quality control and adherence to detailing protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the detailing area.
Skills
- Must have at least 2 years of professional detailing experience
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Attention to detail with a passion for cleanliness and vehicle presentation.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership skills with experience in managing or supervising a team is a plus.
- Experience with ceramic coating, buffing/polishing, and PPF application is highly desirable
