Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely by following proper chemical agent handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to ensure efficient floor care and maintenance.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment.
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly.
- Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or repairing fixtures as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols during cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers and industrial cleaning tools is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards is essential.
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or residential painting is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with staff or visitors when necessary.
