Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
• Handle various cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing floors with floor buffers and other custodial tools
• Manage waste disposal and ensure proper sanitation procedures are followed to maintain hygiene standards
• Operate cleaning machinery safely, including floor buffers and industrial vacuums, adhering to all safety protocols
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning agents to ensure continuous availability
• Follow safety procedures when handling chemical agents and ensure compliance with chemical handling safety protocols
• Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the facilities team

Requirements

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within commercial or residential settings
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment including floor buffers
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely following established safety procedures
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks in accordance with safe lifting practices
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and respond professionally to client or visitor inquiries
