Requirements

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented janitor/cleaner to join our professional cleaning team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in various facilities, including commercial properties, residential homes, and spaces requiring move-out or deep cleaning services, insuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both residential and commercial spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of commercial and residential properties
• Execute move-out cleanings, ensuring properties are left in excellent condition
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum floors.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
• Identify and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards
• Follow proper safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals correctly
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies inventory

Qualifications

• Previous experience in janitorial or cleaning services preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures preferred, but not required
• Ability to use various cleaning equipment and products
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks throughout the day
• Have a driver's license, your own vehicle (to carry supplies to and from job sites) and insurance on your vehicle.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or irregular hours as needed

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Conduct commercial cleaning duties such as buffing floors and maintaining floor care standards when needed.
• Handle industrial cleaning responsibilities, including the use of specialized equipment when necessary.
• Support porter duties by managing waste disposal and recycling efforts.
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.

Experience
