Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely according to established safety protocols and handling procedures.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, carpet cleaners, and other custodial tools efficiently.
- Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and floor care techniques to ensure a pristine appearance.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols during cleaning procedures to prevent accidents or chemical exposure.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or reporting facility issues requiring professional repair.
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers and other custodial tools confidently.
- Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward staff and visitors.
- Basic facilities maintenance knowledge is preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
