ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Field Operations Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in both our office and field operations. This hybrid position combines office responsibilities with field leadership, allowing you to stay connected to both our team and our customers. You'll divide your time between coaching and supporting technicians in the field while also managing scheduling, quoting, employee development, inspections, and daily operational responsibilities in the office. You'll work closely with the owner and office leadership to ensure our team consistently delivers the exceptional service and quality that Cleaning by Kate is known for.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Directly manage a team of approximately 10 cleaning technicians.
- Quote and schedule initial cleans by phone.
- Lead, coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable to company standards.
- Manage and support trainers responsible for onboarding and developing new hires.
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure work consistently meets company expectations.
- Address employee performance concerns and provide ongoing coaching and development.
- Coordinate schedules and staffing needs with office leadership.
- Foster a positive, professional, and high-performance culture.
- Implement corrective action and performance improvement plans when needed.
- Track team performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Serve as a backup for recruiting and customer relations functions, while cross-training another team member to serve as your backup.
- Occasionally work alongside cleaning teams on special projects, training opportunities, or unusually large jobs. We believe great leaders understand the work, support their teams, and lead by example.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous management, supervisory, or team leadership experience required.
- Experience managing frontline employees preferred.
- Strong communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience with employee training and development preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, and mobile technology.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to occasionally perform cleaning duties and demonstrate cleaning standards when necessary.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Starting pay: $25.00 per hour

TYPICAL SCHEDULE
- Monday–Friday
- Typical business hours are approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility based on operational needs.
- This is a hybrid role that combines office responsibilities with field leadership. Time will be divided between office operations, customer communication, employee coaching, quality inspections, and supporting the team in the field.
- No nights, weekends, or major holidays.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to perform both office-based administrative responsibilities and field leadership duties throughout the workday.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to travel between the office and customer homes using reliable transportation.
- Ability to use computers, scheduling software, mobile devices, and office equipment to manage daily operations and communicate with employees and customers.
- Ability to conduct quality inspections, provide hands-on coaching, and occasionally demonstrate cleaning techniques or assist with special projects when needed.
