Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate janitorial staff to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed thoroughly and on schedule.
- Develop and implement cleaning protocols aligned with health and safety standards, including commercial cleaning requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to monitor cleanliness, safety compliance, and overall maintenance quality.
- Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and customer service expectations.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, and custodial equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels.
- Lead by example in performing cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and equipment maintenance.
- Address any operational issues promptly, resolve team conflicts professionally, and motivate staff to achieve performance goals.
Qualifications
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Proven supervising experience in janitorial or custodial management within commercial or hospitality environments.
- Strong background in cleaning techniques, training and handling of heavy equipment e.g. floor scrubber.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a positive work environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience with commercial cleaning equipment and supplies.
