Cleaning Technician Job Summary
We are looking for a hard-working Cleaning Technician to join our team. In this role, your main responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting services for key commercial contracts. We are looking for someone with prior experience with commercial cleaning or be familiar with the safe use of sanitation products and equipment.
Our ideal candidate is a team player who takes great pride in providing our clients with the reliable Cleaner than Clean service each of our clients have come to appreciate. Our ideal candidate is someone looking for part time hours Monday through Friday Day/Evening hours available (minimum 20 hours per week). Individuals who join our team have the ability to grow with us in either a leadership aspect as we continue to grow our business.
Our Cleaning Technicians travel to client locations throughout Western PA: North Hills, Monaca, New Brighton, McDonald, Canonsburg, Washington, Bethel Park, & Mt. Lebanon.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors/floor cleaning machinery
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens and kitchen appliances, common areas, floors, high touch areas such as light switches, doorknobs, etc.
- Assist with trash removal
- Move or cover furniture for deep cleaning tasks
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace
- Restock supplies and toiletries
- Perform additional cleaning tasks as necessary, including dusting ceiling vents, light fixtures, glass, and walls
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
- Commercial cleaning or janitorial experience preferred
- Driver’s license in good standing and reliable transportation to access various job sites
- Ability to use technology and smart phone apps or eagerness to learn; have access to a smart phone
- Physical stamina
- Attention to detail

- Ability to take instruction and feedback
- Capability to work with minimal supervision
- Schedules are approximate. Depending on the client, your start and end times may vary.
Background Check Requirement:
This position requires successful completion of a background check as a condition of employment. The background check may include, but is not limited to, criminal history, employment verification, and educational background verification. Candidates must pass the background check to be considered for employment.
Physical demands:
The employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb, bend, kneel, repetitive bending and lifting, and repetitive arm movements, push and pull objects, lift and move objects, and drive; use hands and fingers to operate machinery and cleaning tools; frequent exposure to cleaning supplies and chemicals; be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
