The Role

We're hiring a Paid Media Team Lead to own the strategy, performance, and quality of every Google Ads and paid campaign across our client portfolio. You'll lead a small team of paid media specialists, be the strategic authority clients turn to on Key Account calls, and drive the campaign frameworks that separate us from every generic agency touching this industry. This is a strategist's role first - someone who can look at a client's numbers and know exactly what lever to pull next, then coach a team to pull it well.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 2–3 paid media specialists - set priorities, QA campaign builds, and develop their skills
  • Own paid media strategy across the client portfolio: campaign architecture, keyword strategy, audience targeting, and budget allocation
  • Build and defend hybrid campaign structures for both high-volume retail locations and lower-volume, luxury-intent dry cleaning clients, using the right KPIs for each (CTR and conversion volume vs. conversion rate, revenue per click, and LTV)
  • Translate campaign performance into a strategic narrative for clients and leadership - reports and updates tell a story of business impact, not a list of completed tasks
  • Join Key Account calls as the senior paid media voice, able to speak confidently to strategy, results, and next steps under scrutiny
  • Stay ahead of Google Ads platform changes, bidding strategy shifts, and ad tooling - bring new tactics into the agency before competitors catch on
  • Oversee use of our ad and automation stack (Google Ads, GoHighLevel workflows, tracking/attribution setups) and ensure the team is using AI tools to build and optimize faster
  • Troubleshoot escalated performance issues, tracking discrepancies, and conversion attribution problems
  • Partner with leadership to evolve our paid media playbooks and reporting standards as the agency scales
  • Directly own performance for a portfolio of flagship accounts, including competitive retail and multi-location clients

What You Bring

  • 5 years in paid media / Google Ads management, ideally with local, multi-location, or franchise clients
  • Proven experience managing or mentoring a team, not just managing your own workload
  • A strategist's mindset - you can build a campaign plan, defend the budget allocation, and pivot fast when the data tells you to
  • Comfort presenting directly to clients and holding your ground in high-stakes account conversations
  • Deep, hands-on Google Ads expertise: campaign structure, bidding strategies, conversion tracking, and attribution
  • Genuine fluency with AI tools in a paid media workflow - copy generation, creative testing, research, or reporting
  • A track record of staying current - you test new Google Ads features before your competitors do
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable with direct, no-fluff team communication
  • Agency experience strongly preferred; service industry or franchise/multi-location B2B experience a plus
