Job Responsibilities
As a Water Damage & Mold Remediation Technician, you will assist with all phases of restoration projects, including:
- Water extraction and structural drying
- Setting up and maintaining mold containment systems
- Demolition of water- or mold-damaged building materials
- Removal and disposal of contaminated materials
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and HEPA vacuuming
- Equipment setup, monitoring, and removal
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized job site
- Providing professional customer service while working in occupied homes and businesses
This position requires working in a variety of environments, including basements, crawl spaces, attics, and other confined spaces. Technicians participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 emergency response services.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Professional appearance and strong communication skills
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Experience with mold remediation, including attic and basement projects
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of water damage restoration and mold remediation experience
- NYS Licensed Mold Remediation Worker Certification
- IICRC Water Restoration and/or Applied Microbial Remediation certifications
- Experience with reconstruction or finish carpentry is a plus
