Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces across various areas of the facility
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners efficiently and safely
- Handle chemical agents with strict adherence to chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocol guidelines
- Conduct floor care activities including buffing, polishing, and maintaining different flooring types to ensure a pristine appearance
- Assist with custodial tasks related to sanitation and facilities maintenance to support a clean and safe environment
- Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy cleaning supplies or equipment to prevent injuries
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly
Requirements
- Janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings preffered
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely following established safety procedures
- Experience with floor buffers, buffing, and general floor care is preferred
- Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or troubleshooting equipment issues is a plus
