Position Overview:
Duncan and Sons is seeking a motivated, people-focused Recruiter to join our growing janitorial and building maintenance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys connecting with others, and takes pride in building strong, reliable teams. The Recruiter will play a key role in sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding employees while supporting day-to-day HR and office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and recruit candidates through job boards, referrals, community outreach, and networking
- Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates
- Conduct phone, virtual, and in-person interviews
- Extend job offers and guide candidates through the hiring process
- Facilitate onboarding, including completing new hire paperwork and orientation
- Maintain accurate applicant tracking systems
- Perform basic HR functions such as verifying employment eligibility, and supporting employee relations
- Answer incoming calls and respond to applicant and employee inquiries
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employees to support engagement and retention
- Support general office duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous recruiting, staffing, or HR experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in basic computer applications
