Part-Time Staffing Coordinator / Recruiter (HR Assistant) – Kentwood, MI

Location: Kentwood, MI (Serving Grand Rapids Area)

Job Type: Part-Time (Monday–Friday)

Schedule: 11:30 AM-4:30 PM (With some flexibility)

Local Travel: Occasional (1–2 days/month)

About The Role

We are seeking a Part-Time Staffing Coordinator / Recruiter to support our growing team in the Kentwood and Grand Rapids area. This role is ideal for someone with experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR support who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume hiring environment.

You will play a key role in sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, managing onboarding, and supporting daily HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting and staffing efforts for open positions
• Source candidates using job boards (Indeed, etc.), referrals, and outreach strategies
• Conduct phone screenings and interviews to evaluate candidate qualifications
• Coordinate hiring needs with managers and maintain strong working relationships
• Process new hire onboarding paperwork and maintain employee personnel files
• Track and update employee availability and scheduling needs
• Conduct background checks and pre-employment screenings
• Maintain accurate employee records (hiring, transfers, promotions, terminations)
• Communicate job expectations, duties, schedules, and opportunities to applicants
• Handle high-volume applicant flow with strong attention to detail
• Perform general administrative and HR support tasks
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
• 1–2 years of experience in recruiting, staffing, or HR coordination
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace
• Valid driver's license required
