Clean Stormwater is a growing environmental compliance company that manages stormwater permit compliance for construction and industrial sites throughout Michigan. We serve as our clients’ Certified Stormwater Operator, handling site inspections, permit management, documentation, and reporting.
We are looking for someone dependable, disciplined, and eager to learn. Prior stormwater experience is not required. We provide full training and will certify the right candidate.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, is highly organized, takes pride in doing things the right way, and wants to build a long-term career with a growing company.
You will visit client sites, complete inspections, manage permit-related tasks, and communicate with clients. We are looking for someone who is reliable, loyal, professional, and able to work independently.
- Travel to client sites throughout Michigan
- Conduct routine stormwater inspections at construction and industrial sites
- Photograph site conditions and document findings
- Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate records
- Assist with permit management, compliance tracking, and annual reporting
- Communicate professionally with clients and internal staff
- Follow company procedures and represent Clean Stormwater professionally in the field
- Learn state and federal stormwater requirements through company-provided training

Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or associate degree preferred, but not required
- Background in construction, environmental science, landscaping, trades, athletics, military, public safety, project management, or other hands-on work is a plus
- Experience working outdoors or managing responsibilities independently
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Ability to use email, phone apps, and basic computer programs
