Day Porter/Janitor

Overview
We are a local, family owned company seeking to fill a full time position for a Day Porter in Caldwell. This is a Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm position. We offer $18.50 paid training, $20 hourly once you have passed training, and paid holidays.

Our company currently provides commercial janitorial/building maintenance services at over a dozen locations in the Treasure Valley, as well as carpet cleaning services.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning of facilities, including offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas to ensure cleanliness and hygiene. Includes but is not limited to:
• Dusting surfaces, sanitizing select surfaces as needed, removal of trash, and removal of recycling.
• Clean bathroom fixtures and restock supplies such as paper towels, bathroom tissue, and hand soap.
• Cleaning and polishing stainless steel appliances.
• Floor care such as vacuuming, sweeping and mopping.
• Operation of floor scrubbing machines.
• Maintaining a rotation of monthly tasks such as high-dusting (air vents, ledges, ceiling fans, etc.), wiping down baseboards, or spot cleaning walls.
• Keep company supplies in good order and maintain a neat work area.
• Monitor the building supplies inventory; report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
• All duties must be carried out efficiently, thoroughly, and quickly.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of day porter or relevant janitorial experience is required.

Skills

• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Strong organizational skills to manage time effectively while performing multiple tasks.
• Ability to safely lift up to 40lbs and be on your feet working all day.
