Receiving Technician - Summer 2026 Internship

Clean Harbors is North Americas largest environmental company. We are seeking a summer 2026 intern. As a Receiving Chemist Internship at our EL Dorado, AR incinerator, you will shadow a Receiving Chemist to learn about receiving, sampling, and analyzing waste from 55-gallon drum shipments within our industrial warehouse facility. Additionally, you will be reviewing and updating documents such as SOPs. You will obtain a broader understanding of the chemical/environmental industry in general as well and learn about the various processes and what it takes to keep our environment clean!

Wage: $25hr

Housing: Not provided.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health & Safety is the number one goal by following all policies, procedures, and always acting in a safe manner
• Learn the use of proper personal protective equipment to sample waste in shipping containers throughout the warehouse and properly track and label the materials as needed
• Shadow other chemists to learn about receiving, sampling and waste analysis.
• Updating SOP documentation
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

• Current or recent graduate with a Bachelor’s in Chemistry or Environmental sciences preferred
• Advanced chemistry knowledge is a plus
• Proficiency with MS Office – Excel, Work and PowerPoint
• Computer proficiency within a Windows based system
