We are seeking an energetic Heavy Industrial Mechanic to join our La Porte TX team. You can change direction at a moment's notice, maintain all plant equipment to include, but not limited to troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairs. Preform daily preventative maintenance as assigned by leadership.

- Disassemble/Reassemble heavy and mobile equipment to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair
- Fabricate metal pieces and replace gaskets as needed
- Troubleshoot, repair and test all equipment to ensure functionality
- Utilize propylene cutting rig
- Repair equipment using MIG and/or stick welding
- Other duties as assigned
- Enter data for repairs, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, inventory check out and time
- Complete daily work and training on computers
What does it take to work at Clean Harbors?
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must pass Bennett Mechanical II test
- 3 years’ experience with heavy industrial maintenance and mobile equipment repair in a plant environment
- Diesel Certification required
- Air Conditioning Certification or equivalent required
- Caterpillar and Kubota engine repair experience, certifications or education a plus!
- Hydraulics Systems troubleshooting repair required
- Must understand schematics to troubleshoot 12&24v heavy equipment systems
- Required cutting rig (propylene cutting torch)
- Valid Drivers’ License
- Computer literate
