Short-Term Rental Cleaner

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Short-Term Rental Cleaner to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining short-term rental properties to ensure they are spotless, welcoming, and ready for new guests. Paid training and ongoing support are provided to help you succeed in this vital role. This job is an independent contractor position. You will be provided a 1099 for tax purposes.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize all areas of rental properties, including bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, living spaces, and outdoor areas when applicable.
• Implement cleaning procedures using appropriate detergents, cleaning equipment, and sanitation techniques to ensure compliance with health standards.
• Perform floor cleaning tasks such as vacuuming carpets, mopping hard floors, and applying floor care treatments to maintain a pristine appearance.
• Handle laundry duties efficiently by washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and towels for each guest turnover.
• Manage manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of furniture or supplies safely and efficiently.
• Conduct detailed surface cleaning including dusting, wiping down surfaces, cleaning windows, mirrors, and fixtures to achieve a spotless environment.
• Communicate professionally with owner, manager, clients or property managers regarding cleaning schedules or special requests; ensure customer satisfaction through excellent service.

Requirements

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or hotel housekeeping is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures along with familiarity with cleaning detergents and equipment.
• Ability to perform outdoor work when necessary, including patio or yard cleaning tasks.
• Strong time management skills to complete cleaning tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely throughout the shift.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Prior experience with carpet cleaning or floor care techniques is a plus.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
