Duties

• Supervise and coordinate meal preparation activities to ensure timely delivery of high-quality meals
• Lead and motivate a team of dietary aides and kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
• Oversee food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and sanitation standards
• Prepare and cook meals using proper knife skills and culinary techniques to maintain consistency and quality
• Ensure all team members follow food safety protocols, including proper storage, labeling, and sanitation practices

Qualifications

• Prior experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
• Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within the food industry or restaurant settings
• Knowledge of food safety standards, and food handling procedures
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide a team effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
• Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail
