Irrigation Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems in various landscapes, ensuring optimal water distribution for gardens and lawns. This role requires a combination of mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to effectively manage irrigation projects while contributing to landscape maintenance.

Duties

• Install and maintain irrigation systems, including drip and sprinkler systems, to ensure efficient water usage.
• Conduct inspections of irrigation systems to identify issues such as leaks or malfunctions.
• Perform repairs on existing irrigation systems, utilizing both hand tools and power tools as needed.
• Dig trenches for pipe installation and ensure proper placement of irrigation components.
• Provide recommendations for system upgrades or enhancements based on landscape needs and water efficiency goals.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs.

Skills

• Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to irrigation installation and repair.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with irrigation systems.
• Experience in landscape maintenance, including lawn care practices that complement irrigation efforts.
• Ability to dig trenches and perform physical tasks related to system installation.
• Familiarity with various types of irrigation methods and their applications in different garden settings.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in executing tasks efficiently.
