We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Move Crew Foreman to oversee and coordinate furniture relocation projects in NYC. This role involves leading a team to deliver white glove moving services, ensuring safe handling of furniture, managing inventory sheets, and providing exceptional customer service. The Move Crew Foreman will serve as the key point of contact on-site, ensuring that all relocations are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of movers during NYC relocations, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and management to coordinate move schedules and address any issues that arise.
- Oversee the safe handling and transportation of furniture, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Manage inventory sheets to track items being moved, ensuring accuracy throughout the process.
- Provide accurate estimates for relocation projects based on client needs and project scope.
- Maintain a high level of white glove service, ensuring clients’ expectations are met or exceeded.
- Manage personnel on-site, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all phases of the move.
Experience
- Proven experience in furniture moving or related logistics roles, preferably within NYC or similar urban environments.
- Strong team leadership skills with the ability to manage personnel effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent managerial communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients seamlessly.
- Experience with inventory management and estimating project costs is preferred.
- Knowledge of safe furniture handling techniques and relocation best practices is essential.
