Part Time Cleaner

Position Overview

We're looking for a reliable, detail-focused Day-Time Janitor / Commercial Cleaner to join our facilities team in Aiea. This role is essential to maintaining clean, safe, and organized environments at our commercial locations. If you take pride in your work and enjoy making spaces shine, we want to hear from you.

3-days a week (4-hour shifts): Monday, Wednesday, Friday, (8am - 12:00pm)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting throughout assigned areas and parking lots.
• Keep offices, restrooms, break rooms, recreation rooms, gym, and other shared spaces clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Conduct routine floor care, including buffing, stripping, and waxing to maintain polished surfaces.
• Ensure both residential and commercial sites meet cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment and support specialized cleaning projects when needed.
• Identify and promptly report any maintenance concerns or safety risks to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with porter and other assigned responsibilities, including moving furniture and setting up or breaking down rooms.

Minimum Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess skills to read, write and comprehend English.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks, standing/walking for long periods, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Must have good communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience is helpful but not required — we'll provide training for the right candidate.
• Must be highly detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to cleanliness, safety, and appearance.
• Good communication skills and a positive, customer-service attitude.
• Basic knowledge of facility cleaning methods, chemicals and equipment is a plus.
• Experience with floor care techniques (e.g., buffing, waxing) is beneficial, but not necessary.
• Familiarity with standard cleaning techniques, equipment, supplies, and the safety protocols necessary to minimize hazards in custodial work.
• Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
