Job Title: Diver (Hull Cleaning)
Overview:
As a Diver, you will play a crucial role in underwater operations, conducting various tasks such as hull cleaning, zinc replacement, item retrieval, running gear de-fouling, and inspections. You will need to have a strong understanding of diving techniques, equipment, and safety procedures to ensure successful completion of tasks. As a hull cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining boats while in the water & improving their performance.
Duties:
- Perform underwater inspections to assess the condition of boats.
- Conduct underwater hull cleaning on boats ranging from 25' to 155'.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to mitigate risks associated with diving activities.
- Maintain diving equipment in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently. - Hard working & self motivated.
- Attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation to & from work.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a diver or equivalent role.
- Certification from a recognized diving association (e.g., PADI, NAUI)
- Proficient in using diving equipment such as masks, fins, regulators, and buoyancy compensators.
- Strong swimming skills and physical fitness to endure long periods underwater.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in underwater hull cleaning; but can be taught.
- Familiarity with underwater photography or videography for documentation purposes.
- Ability to be comfortable in minimal visibility.
