Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that supports childhood development.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting a positive learning environment.
- Foster communication with parents regarding their child's progress and well-being.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with other teachers to enhance the educational experience for all students.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in childcare and education.
Requirements
- Experience in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is preferred but not mandatory at the time of hiring. It must be completed within 90 days of hiring.
- Ability to pass a State and Federal Background Check prior to the first day of employment.
- Passion and patience for working with children.
- Willingness to complete annual training and professional development.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds of less and move from the floor to standing easily.
