Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing air-operated production equipment including brake presses, metal shear presses, punch presses, and roll form machines. This role focuses on pneumatic systems, mechanical reliability, and minimizing downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on:
Brake presses
Metal shear presses
Punch presses
Roll form machine
Troubleshoot And Repair
Pneumatic systems (primary focus)
Electrical systems (motors, sensors, limit switches, relays)
Mechanical components (bearings, shafts, tooling, dies, guides)
Diagnose Air-related Issues Such As
Air leaks
Low pressure / inconsistent pressure
Valve failures (solenoids, regulators, FRLs)
Cylinder wear or failure
Quickly respond to breakdowns and restore equipment operation.
Read And Interpret
Electrical schematics
Pneumatic diagrams
Mechanical drawings
Inspect equipment for wear, misalignment, and safety issues
Perform adjustments, calibration, and alignment
Maintain lubrication schedules and air system cleanliness
Work with production to prioritize repairs and reduce downtime
Support continuous improvement and uptime initiatives
