Position Description
- The Shipper/ Receiver position is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate handling of ordered items, as well as placing all incoming materials in their assigned areas throughout the plant
- Assist in loading/unloading of trucks, inspecting materials for quality, and signing packing slips
- Follow all check-in and storage requirements as outlined in the receiving handbook
- Ability to properly notate paperwork for shipping purposes
- Previous Forklift Experience Preferred
- Ability to solve problems
- Strong communication skills
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION*
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands
- and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Excellent peripheral and close-range vision abilities required, including close-range and excellent peripheral vision
