Position Summary
Team Lead oversees daily operations in the door and edge band department, ensuring cabinet components are produced accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company quality and safety standards. This role provides leadership and support to team members, verifies materials and processes, and acts as the first point of contact for production issues, defects, or equipment concerns.

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day operations in the frame build and edge band department.
- Verify all materials are cut to proper specifications prior to production.
- Ensure all materials, tools, and supplies are properly stocked and organized.
- Monitor and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards and specifications.
- Oversee proper packaging of cabinet components to prevent damage.
- Monitor production schedules to ensure build dates and deadlines are met.
- Verify dimensions of parts and finished products to maintain accuracy.
- Train, coach, and verify competency of team members in assigned tasks.
- Identify and report damages, defects, or material discrepancies to the Area Coordinator.
- Identify equipment malfunctions and communicate promptly with maintenance.
- Ensure edge band operators are supplied with materials to maintain workflow.
- Provide hands-on support to team members as needed to achieve production goals.
- Previous leadership experience in manufacturing, woodworking, or cabinet production preferred.
- Strong understanding of cabinet construction processes, materials, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret production documents, blueprints, and measurements.
- Basic knowledge of equipment troubleshooting and maintenance reporting.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift materials up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a production environment with machinery and tools.
