Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality general dentistry services, including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and extractions.
- Perform complex procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery with precision and care.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Utilize dental terminology effectively to explain diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards.
- Apply aseptic techniques and adhere to infection control protocols during all clinical procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with team members using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient patient care delivery.
- Use dental imaging technology and possess strong knowledge of anatomy for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, and other specialties to enhance patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all medical documentation standards and privacy regulations while managing patient care records.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a General Dentist with current certification to practice dentistry.
- Proven experience in a dental office or clinic environment, including pediatric dentistry and oral surgery procedures.
- Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or similar practice management systems.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to general dentistry.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate treatment plans clearly.
- Familiarity with infection control practices, HIPAA regulations, and medical imaging techniques.
- Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics procedures, and other restorative treatments confidently.
