What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk - Veterinary Care - PART TIME position at Clayton Family Veterinary Care?
At Clayton Family Veterinary Care, we do things differently. Our relationship with our clients is of primary importance. Our staff strives to have open communication with our clients to empower them to ask questions and learn more so they can better care for their pet at home and understand the reasons behind our treatment plans.

If you have a passion for pet care as well as client education and understand the importance of a good sense of humor needed in vet medicine, then we would love to hear from you! Prior Veterinary medical office experience REQUIRED. Prior Veterinary Technician experience a plus.
Tentative Schedule:
- Afternoons 1pm - 6pm (10hrs/wk)
- Friday 1 - 6p *Friday schedule is required
Daily Duties:
- Provide top notch customer service
- Great client communication skills
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Triage appointments as needed
- Understanding of routine pet care (vaccine scheduling, heartworm and flea prevention, etc.)
- Proficient with computers (Microsoft/windows applications)
- Accurate medical record keeping (Pulse Practice software a plus)
- Stock incoming inventory items and notify clinic manager of low supplies
- Daily cleaning and upkeep of clinic
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications
- Veterinary experience and knowledge of veterinary terminology a MUST
- Attention to detail
- Proactive
- Proficient in animal handling and restraint techniques
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems
- Able to clear a background check

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
