About the role:

This position is responsible for developing and implementing our family engagement strategy to ensure we are empowering families for lifelong success. Reporting to the Chief Impact Officer, the Director of Family Engagement will manage teams of Child Family Educators (in our school and home-based programs) and our Admissions team (responsible for student and family recruitment, enrollment, selection, and attendance). You will oversee the implementation of family services and work with your team and colleagues to ensure overall delivery and quality. You will provide on-going coaching to ensure the highest quality of services are provided in the areas of home visitation, family goal setting, accessing community services and resources, family engagement and advocacy. What we want you to do:

LEADERSHIP OF OUR FAMILY ENGAGEMENT STRATEGY

  • Hold a strong commitment to empowering families and helping them to achieve their hopes and dreams
  • Provide leadership for family engagement strategies across the organization and direct management of our school and home-based programs
  • Develop trusted relationships within and across teams to implement engagement strategies and build a community that supports family engagement
  • Represent Clayton in the community to enhance collaboration and advance Clayton's broader mission

TEAM LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT

  • Manage four direct reports: two managers of home-based child family educators, one manager of school-based child family educators, and an admissions manager
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures for the overall team, including quality assurance and compliance processes
  • Oversee and develop the team to build expertise; provide support and guidance on activities and workflow; provide regular performance management and feedback
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including families and partner organizations
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all grant provisions and regulatory requirements related to family engagement

What we are looking for and what you must have:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human and Family Development, Social Work, Early Childhood Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in family engagement roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful family engagement strategies.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood education and development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Creativity and innovation in family engagement approaches.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred

Compensation:

  • $90,000.00-$105,000.00 annually
