The Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) Teacher Alternative Preparation Program (TAPP) seeks highly motivated and content-knowledgeable candidates committed to developing student proficiency at every instructional level. TAPP teachers are expected to demonstrate subject-matter expertise and deliver rigorous, standards-based instruction that supports student growth and achievement.
Position Description:
TAPP teachers will:

Foster a culture of high expectations by promoting student engagement, inspiring progress, and strengthening each student’s academic capabilities.

Plan, prepare, and deliver daily standards-aligned lessons across designated content areas.

Establish and maintain a positive, structured learning environment while effectively monitoring and managing student behavior in alignment with district policies.

Develop and prepare instructional materials, including syllabi, assignments, assessments, and supplemental resources.

Remain current with developments, best practices and curriculum updates within the assigned content area.

Maintain accurate, complete and compliant records, documentation and student data in accordance with district and state guidelines.

Educational & Eligibility Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a field directly related to the intended teaching content area.

Eligibility to work in the United States.

Passing scores on the GACE Content Assessment for the applicable content area.

No current or previous teaching certification (unless applying to add an Elementary add-on certification).

No prior enrollment in coursework leading to teacher certification.
