Turf and Grass Technician II Position Summary:
Campus Operations seeks a Grounds Technician to upkeep the landscaping of Clayton Homes Corporate Campus which includes Clayton Road, The Lodge, Clayton Bradley Academy, and the Cottage. The Grounds Technician is primarily responsible for safety, productivity, and attention to detail as it relates to the properties.
Turf and Grass Technician II Responsibilities:
- Maintains existing plant health and rotation, implementing new areas as required or requested. Pruning, trimming and removing plants as needed. Mulching of ornamental beds around campus.
- Operates mowers, vehicles, and all equipment associated with grounds and landscaping activities. Communicates any issues with the supervisor.
- Seasonal leaf and snow removal. Annual preventive maintenance for parking lots, painted lines, and signage.
- Sets up for regular and special events and moves furniture or equipment as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Turf and Grass Technician II Required Skills:
- High School Diploma / GED
- 1 - 3 years’ related experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Knowledge of plants and the care of is highly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of operating mowers and machinery as related to landscaping.
- Routinely lifting 50 lbs. , Working in inclement weather, and able to handle a variety of different physical demands such as bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
