Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment, including heavy duty and medi duty trucks. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using schematics, automotive electrical systems, and electronic testing tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, hydraulics, air brakes, shocks & struts, and other mechanical systems on heavy equipment and vehicles.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools to perform repairs efficiently.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance including tire service, wheel alignment, HVAC system repairs, and vehicle systems diagnostics.
- Adhere to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and working with complex machinery to ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience or extensive mechanic experience working with heavy trucks or industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and understanding automotive electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and brake repair.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and perform welding or fabrication tasks when necessary.
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems for vehicles and industrial machinery is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions throughout the day.
