Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Praise and Worship Leader/Musician for our small independent non-denominational Christian Church. The qualified person should be available two hours on Sunday mornings to lead our blended (contemporary and traditional) worship service.
Responsibilities
- Lead congregational praise and worship sessions with energy, and musical excellence.
- Select appropriate songs and arrangements that align with the church’s spiritual themes and message.
- Collaborate with pastors and ministry teams to plan worship services that resonate deeply with the congregation.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages active participation from all attendees during worship.
- Maintain the church’s music equipment, and oversee rehearsals of those that do specials.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service flow and address any technical or musical needs promptly.
Requirements
- Must be a Christian believer.
- Proven experience leading praise and worship in a church or faith-based setting.
- Strong musical skills on one or more instruments (e.g., keyboard, guitar, drums) or vocal proficiency. Will be asked to demonstrate proficiency.
- Must exemplify biblical beliefs values and principles of the Church.
- A genuine commitment to faith, worship, and community-building within a church setting.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00 per hour
