Role Description
This is a full-time role for an Associate Immigration Attorney. The individual will provide legal counsel and representation on various immigration matters, such as visas, asylum, family petitions, and adjustment of status applications. Responsibilities include preparing legal documents, appearing before immigration courts and agencies, conducting legal research, and maintaining communication with clients to ensure clarity and transparency in case progress.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Immigration Law, including issues related to Temporary Protected Status, Asylum (Affirmative and Defensive), and Family Petitions
Experience handling Visas, including U-Visas, T-Visas, and Provisional Waivers
Strong understanding of Legal Issues in the context of immigration, including Cancellation of Removal, VAWA Applications, and Prosecutorial Discretions
Demonstrated expertise in researching and drafting complex legal documents
Excellent client-interaction and communication skills with cultural sensitivity
Bar membership in good standing within the United States
Prior experience in immigration law is strongly preferred
Fluency in a second language, such as Spanish, is a plusn oral y escrita.
