Job Grade: ($26.48-$31.83)*
The LPN performs tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of supportive and restorative care under the direction of a registered professional nurse, licensed physician, or other select licensed authorized health care provider. The LPN ensures that compassionate, engaged care meets or exceeds quality standards. Care is provided in an efficient and safe manner consistent with the NYS licensure and CHMC standard of care. The LPN works with two busy medical oncology practices and one radiation oncology practice. Duties include conducting patient interviews, obtaining vital signs, and contacting home health services.

LPN works under the direct supervision of an RN for the duration of their shift

Education:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid and current registration N.Y.S. LPN license
- Must maintain current BLS certification.
TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
- Strong communication skills, patient teaching and psychosocial support
- Previous Med/Surg and/or oncology experience preferred
- Knowledge of growth & development across the life span and the ability to use that knowledge to individualize the plan and delivery of care
- The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
