About Claver
Claver is a new commercial cleaning operator launching in Oakland and Emeryville. We help property managers stop worrying about their cleaning vendors by giving them photo-verified service and transparent reporting. We're hiring our first Business Development Manager to build sales from the ground up.
The Role
You'll own new business for our launch markets. This is a founding role. You'll shape how we sell, how we price, and how we win against established competitors. As we grow into other Bay Area cities, you'll be the person we lean on to hire and train the next BDMs.
What You'll Do
Run walkthroughs and close commercial cleaning contracts in the $800 to $3,000 per month range. Build pipeline through your existing relationships with Bay Area property managers and facility directors. Refine our walkthrough and proposal process based on what you learn in the field. Help us recruit and vet subcontractor partners using your industry network. Shape our pricing strategy as we figure out what works in this market.
What We're Looking For
You've spent at least 2 years selling commercial cleaning, janitorial, or facility services in the Bay Area. You have real relationships with property managers, facility directors, or commercial real estate firms here. You've closed 30 or more recurring commercial contracts in your career. You're comfortable with the uncertainty of an early stage company. You live in the Bay Area, have a reliable car, and can start within a week.
Compensation
For the first 30 days, you'll work on a paid trial at $40 per hour for 25 hours per week, plus $500 for every contract you sign, plus mileage at $0.67 per mile.
After the trial, the role converts to $75K base salary, 7 percent commission on first year contract value, and mileage reimbursement. On target earnings run from $95K to $130K depending on performance.
