Bridgeport Machine Tool Accessory Installer

Clausing Industrial is seeking a Bridgeport Machine Tool Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, inspecting, testing, and configuring Bridgeport milling machines and related accessories prior to shipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, basic electrical knowledge, and experience working with precision machine tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and prepare Bridgeport milling machines for customer delivery.
• Install and configure accessories including Digital Readouts (DROs), power feeds, power drawbars, coolant systems, work lights, and other optional equipment.
• Perform machine inspections and operational testing to ensure quality standards are met.
• Conduct voltage changes and basic electrical modifications when required.
• Drill, tap, and modify machine components as necessary for accessory installation.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely.
• Use precision measuring tools, indicators, and hand tools to verify machine performance and alignment.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and inspections.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company quality and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical experience required, preferably with machine tools, industrial equipment, or manufacturing machinery.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting and wiring experience.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and installation instructions.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Forklift experience is preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Schedule & Compensation:

• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

• Compensation: Competitive hourly wage based on experience
