What You’ll Do:

  • Assist leading and develop the Front-of-House team to provide exceptional guest experiences.
  • Assist overseeing daily operations, including staffing, service flow, and quality control.
  • Collaborate with General Manager to drive the success of our location.
  • Assist with schedules, ordering, and overall organization of the café.
  • Be hands-on, working alongside your team, and setting the standard for service excellence.

We are a Chef Owned and operated busy restaurant, cafe & bakeshop. We offer thoughtful, seasonal, and chef driven, made from scratch food at a reasonable price. We are a mainstay in our community and continue to grow as we are currently seeking our next location. We change our menu seasonally, we bake fresh every morning, and our menu is made from scratch. We have strong core values and encourage our staff to have fun while at work. We are driven by hospitality, family, gratitude and integrity.

Qualifications:

-Possess management skills and leadership experience.
-3 years of previous restaurant management experience in a quality, contemporary, full service/fast casual environment
-Must follow direction, self-motivate, work clean and stay organized
-Communicate clearly which requires listening and speaking
-Focus on the details, especially food quality, food safety and sanitation, restaurant cleanliness, team member appearance and productivity
-Experience with inventory and purchasing a plus, but not neccessary. We will teach you.
-Fix problems quickly and be able to turn a bad situation into a great one
-Understand our technologies and care about accuracy - (POS, Excel, Word, Toast, 7shifts)
-Have an active ServSafe Food Safety Certificate
-A flexible schedule is required. Mornings, weekends and holidays are required.

Job Summary

  • Plans, directs, or coordinates all aspects of the chain of service in restaurant and assumes lead role in any special events.

General Accountabilities

  • Works with chain of service staff improving customer service skills, order taking, serving, bussing, beverage making
  • Able to work any and all chain of service positions
  • Reviews customer service data to measure productivity and to identify areas needing program improvement.
  • Assists closing cash responsibilities.
  • Assists and coordinates activities concerned with the level of service, production of beverage components, customer service activity of staff, and sales of catered events.
  • Assists staff in all aspects of chain of service including cleaning, uniform policy, customer interactions, quality control.
  • Assists staff in all aspects of cleanliness and general organization of restaurant floor and storage areas
  • Prepares and assigns specific duties.
  • Implements departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures as directed by General Manager. Collaborates on those subjects as well.

Job Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Experience: 3 years' experience in restaurant operations leadership
